

Funeral Services celebrating the life of Buddy Hinton will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12pm until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holly Cemetery. GW Childs will officiate the service.
Buddy passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born November 22, 1934 to the late Brown Hinton, Sr. and Ruby Hinton. His education began at Holly School; he later graduated from Kossuth High School. For over 45 years, he served as the Head Meat Manager at Kroger, where his expertise and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike. Following his tenure at Kroger, Buddy proudly owned and operated Hinton's Deer Processing for 19 years.
A proud veteran, Buddy served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Wenasoga Church of Christ. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, often spending his free time working in his yard and enjoying the beauty of nature. His love for the simple joys of life were evident in everything he did. Buddy cherished the moments spent outdoors.
In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Hinton; daughter, Andrea Robertson; brother, Wayne Hinton; and sisters, Katherine Mason, Ruth Marsh, and Eloise Talley.
Buddy is survived by his sons, Jay Hinton (Michelle) and Steve Hinton (Lisa); grandchildren, Stephen Hinton (Shelley), AJ Correro (Nick) and Darrell Thrasher (Monica); great grandchildren, DarylAnna, Karoline, Baron, Hattie Grace Hinton, JP Wilbanks, and Audreyanna Wilbanks; brothers, Lowell Hinton (Frances), Clarence Hinton (Sara), and JR Jones (Clara); and special daughter and caregiver, Debbie Hinton.
Pallbearers include Rod Surratt, Tyler Steen, Shawn Perrigo, Jeremy Jones, Marty McCaeary, and James Vincent.
