
Carl Leroy Thompson, 75, passed away following declining health on January 22, 2021 at Cornetstone Health and Rehab Center. He was born February 8, 1945 to the late William Arthur Truman Thompson and Mary Lina Barnes. Carl disliked the fuss of funerals and requested that he be cremated.
Carl had a career as a die maker for more than three decades at General Motors in Kalamazoo, MI. He later spent several years working for Lowe’s Home Improvement before finally retiring.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Thompson; daughters, Jennifer Schira (Scott), Stephanie Thompson; granddaughter, Cassandra Williams; great-grandson, Matthew Blood; his siblings, Clyde Thompson (Judy), Glen Thompson (Sandy), Florence Grissom (JD), Bruce Thompson (Elaine); and his extended family of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and other family who meant so much to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Vernon Thompson, Virgie Slavings, Marvin Thompson, Billy Thompson, Bobby Thompson and Imogene Roberts.
