Charles Hodum

Charles passed away on December 22, 2025 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born in Corinth on January 18, 1941 to the late Hugh Verden and Sue Jean Hudson Hodum. He was a graduate of Kossuth High School. After some classes at Northeast C.C. he entered and served in the Mississippi National Guard where he was stationed at Ft. Polk. He worked for the U.S. Postal service for 31 years as a mail carrier before his retirement. He was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed coaching baseball and soccer. Charles raised waterfowl and showed ducks. He reached the highest accolade as a Hall of Famer and Master Exhibitor in the American Bantam Association.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Karon Hodum of Corinth; sons, Chuck Hodum (Karen) and Brad Hodum of Orlando, FL and his grandchildren, Nathan and Evan Hodum.
