David Rorie

Mr. Rorie died on Monday, December 6th at his residence. He was born in Indiana on Saturday, August 26, 1950 to the late J.W. and Charlene Smith Rorie. During his life he was a truck driver and a painter. He was a graduate from the Tennessee Preparatory School and from the University of Mississippi class of 2010 with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. He was an honor student throughout college.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Louise Rorie.

He is survived by four sons, Paul Rorie and his wife Patience, James "Tubby" Rorie, Jason Rorie and his wife Misty all of Corinth, and John Rorie of Memphis, TN; one daughter, Roseayn Rorie of Corinth; two step-daughters, Angie Holley and Michelle Underwood both of Belmont; seven brothers, Donus Rorie of Corinth, Gerald Rorie and his wife Lois of Dickson, TN, Daniel Rorie and his wife Ruanna of Nebraska, Joseph Rorie and his wife Donna of Summerville, SC, Ronald J. Rorie and his wife Susan of Baton Rouge, LA, Lonnie Rorie and his wife Sherry, and Tye Rorie and his wife Kristy all of Jackson, MS; five sisters, Joyce Lamb and her husband Hal of Folsom, LA, Pat Smith, Jean Falconbury both of Booneville, Rachel Castle and her husband David of Jackson, MS, and Rebekah Sullivan and her husband Barry of Fernandina Beach, FL; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah, Tristan, Serenity, Isaac, Maura Faith, Neely, Aiden Rorie, and Kayla Holley; the mother of his children, Gwen Rorie of Corinth; his step-mother, Shirley Robbins Rorie of Jackson, MS, several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 10th from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. and from 12:00 A.M. till service time on Thursday.

The family is requesting that memorials be made to the Corinth Artist Guild, 507 Cruise Street, Corinth, MS 38834.
