Deborah Jean Buchanan

Deborah Jean Buchanan, 76, of Corinth, Mississippi went to rest in her eternal home at 5:05pm on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Mississippi. Deborah was born January 22, 1949 to the late Ben and Oleta Ivy Mitchell of Corinth, Mississippi.

Deborah was a graduate of Riverside High School in Parsons, Tennessee. She would later receive her Master's degree from UT Martin/UT Knoxville. Deborah and her belated husband Johnny W. Buchanan, Sr. were the owners of MS/TN/AL Wholesale Flowers in Corinth, Mississippi for 22 years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. Deborah loved and cherished her dogs and found a delightment in knowing she was also the neighborhood cat feeder as well. The family has requested a very special "Thank You" be sent to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Magnolia Regional Health Center and The West Clinic in Corinth, Mississippi.

Deborah was welcomed home by her parents and husband, Johnny W. Buchanan, Sr.

Deborah leaves behind her legacy; daughter, Genevieve Fisher Ashley; stepson, Johnny W. Buchanan JR; sister, Cathy Embry (Ron); step-grandchildren, Clarissa Buchanan and Chloe Buchanan; grand-dogs, Prada, Pixie, Penelope, and Furr-B.

A Celebration of Life Service has been scheduled for Friday, May 23, 2025 beginning at two o'clock in the afternoon at McPeters Funeral Directors in Corinth, Mississippi until four o'clock in the afternoon with a private graveside service to follow at Henry Cemetery.
