

Earl H. Valdejo, 92, died at his home Sunday, May 20, 2012. Mr. Valdejo was a retired tool and die maker from Century Electric, Vendo and Corinth Machinery. He was a past member of the Corinth Elks Club; he was an avid fan of stock cars and motorcycles and previously raced both. He and his wife loved square dancing and established the Corinth Western Squares. Mr. Valdejo was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force during WWII.
Funeral services for Mr. Valdejo will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012, eleven o'clock in the morning at McPeters Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Jack Williams officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Corinth National Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 22, 2012, five until eight o'clock in the evening at McPeters Funeral Directors.
Mr. Valdejo is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Josephine "JoJo" Valdejo whom he was married to for fifty-three years; two sisters, Edna Letcher, Eleanor Good; two brothers, Clarence and Lawrence Valdejo.
Survivors include two daughters, Erlene Harvell (Jim) of Corinth; Cindy Umfress (Sherrell) of Cario; his grandchildren, Jimmy Harvell (Shana), Shane Harvell (Trystal); Amber Nelms (Brad); his great grandchildren, Kyler Rickman, Will and Jakeb Harvell, Caden, Niklas, and, Emilyn Jewel Harvell, Peyton, Drew, and Taylor Reid Nelms; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorials can be made to the Corinth-Alcorn County Humane Society.
