Ellis A. "Bill" Geer

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Ellis A. Stephen "Bill" Geer, 77, will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. James the Less Catholic Church with burial to follow in Valley of the Dogwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM at McPeters Funeral Home and from 9:00 AM until service time at St. James Catholic Church.

Bill passed away Saturday June 19, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on February 7, 1944 in Melrose Park, IL to the late Ellis W. and Sarah Barzso Geer. He was a 1962 graduate of West Chicago High School. He was a production manager with Thermocouple in Illinois. After moving to Corinth he worked as a machinist until in 1987 when he opened Pro-Craft Auto Body where he worked along side his son and son-in-law. His passion was motor vehicles and he loved rebuilding classic cars. He attended St. James the Less Catholic Church where he was an active member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus.

Preceded in death by parents, in-laws John R. Morgan and Georgia Childers Morgan of Acton, TN

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Geer; son, Tony Geer (April); daughter, Angie Gann (Larry); and his grandchildren, Blaine, Blake, Lucy, Lacy, Brandon, Jon and Christian.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Gann, Blaine Geer, Jon Gann, Blake Geer, Christian Gann, Tommy Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus.

Father Mario Solórzano will officiate the service.
