Funeral services for Garvin Paul Lancaster are set for 3:00 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Rayburn Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Lancaster died Monday, July 27, 2015 at his residence.
He was a member of Union Baptist Church. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He was a retired self-employed construction worker who enjoyed reading and wood working.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Erie Mattox Lancaster; brothers, Howard Lancaster and Max Wade Lancaster.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Fay Rencher Lancaster of Corinth; daughter, Judith (Jack) Lann of Natchitoches, La.; grandsons, Barry (Curry) Lann of Baton Rouge, La. and Rencher Lann of New Orleans, La.; great-granddaughter, Clara Lann.
