Glenda Ruth Peters

A Family and Friends Gathering will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Friday from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm at the funeral home.

Glenda died March 18, 2026, at Magnolia Regional Health Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 3, 1941, in Alcorn Co. MS to the late Charlie and Gertrude Rickman Gant. She was a graduate of the 1959 class of Alcorn Agricultural High School (Kossuth High School). She was a faithful lifetime member of Pleasant Hill Pentecostal Church; she sang in the church trio, taught Sunday school for many years and loved her church family.

Glenda retired from Dogwood Plantation as a caregiver. Over the years, she also worked at Wurlitzer, Big K, NuWay and Plaza Dry Cleaners. She was a wonderful cook, always fixing something to eat for anyone that walked through her door. She loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Lex Jones; brothers, Max Gant, Donnie Gant; and sister, Peggy Wilbanks.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donnie Peters; son, Britt Peters (Becky); grandson, Brain Carroll (Brittany); granddaughter, Anna Jones; great grandchildren, Wyatt Carroll and Caleb Jones; sister, Judy Steed (Clark); and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Brain Carroll, Wyatt Carroll, Ernie Mitchell, Tony Whitley, Bill Winchell, Terry Rickman, and Caleb Jones.
