Jimmy Carrol Dicks

Jimmy C. Dicks, 72, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and of the Baptist faith. He loved the outdoors. His most enjoyed hobbies were fishing, hunting, camping, and riding 4 wheelers.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 9, 2011, 11:00 am at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors Chapel with Bro. George Kyle officiating. Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Mary Burcham Dicks of Rienzi; one daughter, Brenda Ray of Mt. Gilead, Tn; one step son, Jonathan Woodruff of Glen; one step daughter, Deborah Woodruff Moody (Tony) of Rienzi; one brother, Butch Dicks (Mary); two sisters, Jeanette Barnes (Hubert) and Shirley Jernigan (David) all of Selmer; and three grandchildren.

Mr. Dicks is preceded in death by his parents, John Carrol and Louise Coln Dicks; and one sister, Linda Griggs.

Pallbearers will be David Chadwick, John Chadwick, Michael Ray, Brad Ray, Jack Jernigan, John Dicks, and Kevin Surratt.
