BURNSVILLE – Kathy Burkeens, 60, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born Dec. 1, 1952, to Harold and Velma Newcomb Tucker. She formally worked at Genesco Shoe Co. and was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed animals and yard saleing.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors Chapel with Bro. Bengy Massey officiating. Burial will be in Newcomb Cemetery.
She is survived by her mother, Velma Tucker of Burnsville; brother, Travis Tucker of Booneville; sister, Nancy (Al) Harris of Corinth; nephews, Eric (Jessica) Tucker and Bucky (Victoria) Morris; great-niece, Chloe Tucker; and great-nephew, Caden Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Tucker; brothers, Charles, Robert and Roger; grandparents, Charlie and Emma Newcomb, Eli and Mable Gildewell.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
