

A Gathering of Family and Friends celebrating the life of Kenneth Roaten will be held Monday July 21,2025 at Memorial Funeral Home from 11am until 2pm with family and friend reflections beginning at 1pm.
Kenneth Ray Roaten, of Corinth, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, at the age of 77
Born in Alcorn County on August 4, 1947, Kenneth graduated from Alcorn County High School in 1965 before proudly serving in the United States Air Force for four years, including two years in the Reserves. During his time in the military, he was stationed overseas in both England and the Philippines.
An adventurer at heart, Kenneth was a passionate skydiver who spent many years traveling across the United States with skydiving clubs in California, Nevada, and Texas. He eventually returned to Mississippi, where he built his home in Wenasoga and continued to live life on his own terms.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, James Marlin Roaten and Eddra Osborne Roaten.
He is survived by his longtime friend, Carol Hebel; his daughters, Kasandra Rae Roaten and Kimberly Rae Roaten; his son, Daniel Ray Roaten and daughter-in-law, Tracy Roaten; his big sister and caregiver, Patricia McNair, and her husband, Billy Joe McNair. He also leaves behind three grandsons, five granddaughters, 8 great grandchildren and two beloved grand-doggies.
Ken lived life to the fullest, and he did it his way. He will be remembered for his independent spirit, quiet strength, and the way he chased the sky. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
