Richard "Rich" Wilbanks

A Celebration of Life Service for Richard “Rich” William Wilbanks, 45, is set for 1:00 pm Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Hershey Burnett officiating. A Family and Friends Gathering will be Saturday from 11:00 and to service time at the funeral home.

Rich died August 15, 2025 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born on September 15, 1979 in Corinth. He was a 1998 graduate of Alcorn Central High School. He was a journeymen welder. Rich was active in the Warrior Center in the Memphis area for several years in many ways. He enjoyed playing video games, the outdoors, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his dog, Bella and cat, Jinx.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Claude and Elsie Wilbanks and his birth mother, Debbie Briggs.

He is survived by his wife, Alissa Wilbanks; father, Barry Wilbanks (Nancy); his mother, Lisa Lambert; daughter, Lauren Wilbanks; step-daughter, Ainslee Parker; granddaughter, Sylvi Rae; maternal grandmother, Barbara Herring; brothers, Zach Wilbanks (Jessie) and Henry Lambert; sister, Gracie Taylor (Marshall); father-in-law, William Bill Parker, Jr. (Lisa); sisters-in-law, Courtney Parker, Lauren Parker; brother, in-law, Brain Parker; special friends, Racheal Griggs, Alex LaRose, John Lenahan, Promethesius Nicks; and a host of other family and friends
