Shane Nevels

Micheal Shane Nevels, 48, of Corinth, Mississippi, passed away in his home on Friday December 19, 2025.Born on February 3, 1977, in Delhi, Louisiana, Shane grew up in Oak Grove, Louisiana, where he was a 1995 graduate of Oak Grove High School. Following graduation, he answered the call to service by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He served with distinction as a Machine Gunner, achieving the rank of Corporal and embodying the Marine Corps' values of discipline and devotion to duty.

After his military service, Shane built a successful career with Lexicon Steel, where he worked for over 20 years. As an Iron Superintendent, he was known as a hardworking and dedicated leader who took great pride in his craft and the safety of his crews.

Despite his professional achievements, Shane’s true passion was his family. He was a devoted husband and father who cherished the simple joys of life—camping out in the yard with his children, building bonfires, and taking long walks through the woods. His primary mission in life was always the happiness and well-being of those he loved.

Shane was preceded in death by his father, Harold Gene Nevels, Sr..

He is survived by his beloved wife of many years, Jenny Curtis Nevels; his four children, Savannah Nevels, Luke Nevels, Gage Nevels (Sierra), and Ashley Nevels; and five grandchildren.

A private funeral service with Full Military Honors will be held at Memorial Funeral Home in Corinth.
