FERGUSON, Albert Edward “Abby” - passed away on Monday January 19, 2026 with family by his side at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Joanne Ferguson (née Alguire). Loving father of Lisa Ferguson (Derek Menard), Amanda Ferguson (Marc Duplain) and stepfather of Matthew Mitchell (Jessica). Cherished grandpa, “pappy” of Jaymne, Dylan, Oliver and Jenny-Rieka. Abby is survived by siblings, Heather Jarvo (late Gary Jarvo), Ricky Ferguson (Brenda), Linda Seguin (Gilbert), Hazel Ferguson, Bobby Ferguson (late Diane), Kevin Ferguson and Tracy Ferguson. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Dorna (née Sauve) Ferguson and by his sister Marlene (late Randy). He will be fondly remembered by his several nieces and nephews.
Family will be in attendance at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh St. W., (613-932-8482) on Friday January 30, 2026 from 2 pm – 4 pm, 7 pm – 9 pm and on Saturday from 1 pm until time of service. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday January 31, 2026 in the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home at 3 pm.
