Arthur Robert Ivany "Bob" was born in1949, in Ivanhoe, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, to the late Archleaus and Delilah (née Watton) Ivany. He passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the age of 77. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
Bob found his passion at the age of 13 years old, driving transport, and he carried that early sense of purpose into a career as a transport driver. In the steady dedication he brought to his work, and in the care he showed to those around him, Bob’s loving nature was evident throughout his life.
Away from the road, Bob enjoyed boating, fishing, and motorcycles, interests that brought him both enjoyment and time well spent. Bob was a loving son, brother, uncle, and father, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh St. W., 613-932-8482 on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 6 pm to 9 pm.
