Garry was predeceased by his beloved wife, Carrol Wert (née Rupert), and his parents, Anna (nee Grant) and Fred Wert.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Amanda Thompson (David) and Melissa Moxon (Chris), and his cherished grandchildren, Nolan (Samantha), Emma and Grace, who will hold his memory close to their hearts.
He is also survived by his sister, Joan Spooner (late- Gerald) and predeceased by his siblings, Ida Johnson (late- Bill), Grant Wert (Alice), George Wert (late – Joan) and Muriel Gallant (late- Elmer).
Arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch (613-932-8482). In keeping with Charles’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the funeral home, located at 20 Seventh Street West, on Sunday, October 18 th , 2026, from 11am until 2pm. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or The Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
