Denise Benoit, passed away peacefully at Ted Laurier Place on September 16, 2026 at the age of 72 years. Denise was the beloved wife of the late Denis Benoit and the late Robert Marchand. She was a cherished sister to Micheline Baker (Kevin) of Long Sault. Denise was the dear daughter-in-law of Aline, St. Jean and sister-in-law of Louise Burnie. She was a dear stepmother to Cindy Maxam (Bill) of Cornwall and Denis Benoit of Calgary, and a proud step-grandmother to Braydon, Landon and Avery. Loving aunt to Erin Alcaide (Vince), Shannon Snelgrove (Mark) and Allison Belanger (Denis). She was predeceased by her parents Gerard Caron and Jeannette (née Gibeault) Caron.
In the everyday moments that make a life beautiful, Denise found joy and shared it generously. She loved butterflies, puzzles, music, and the quiet comfort of flowers and plants—interests that reflected her gentle attentiveness and the way she delighted in what was bright, living, and thoughtfully made. Above all, she loved her family, and her friendly, social nature made time spent with her feel easy, familiar, and full of care.
The family will be in attendance at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) on Thursday, September 24th from 9 a.m. until the time of Service. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
