Beloved companion of Cathy Saucier. Dear son of Lorraine Kennedy. Loving father of Katelin; and stepfather of Johnathan Saucier and James Saucier. Cherished grandfather of Hayden, Greyson and Evelyn.
He will be dearly missed by his siblings Dale Brown, Debra MacPhail, Maureen Burtenshaw and Mark Thomas-Brown, as well as his half brother and best friend Mark Brunet.
Derrick is predeceased by his father John Sallery, as well as his stepfathers Stephen Brown and John Kennedy.
He will be fondly remembered for his love of the outdoors; when he wasn’t working you could usually find Derrick camping.
In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place.
A visitation will be held at Lahaie and Sullivan West Branch 20 Seventh Street West, Cornwall, on Friday October 30, 2026, between the hours of 9:00AM to 11:00AM.
With a Service of Remembrance to be held in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 11:00AM.
Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made out to Carefor Hospice Cornwall.
