Anne, Angela, Jennifer and Kimberley. I'm so sorry for your loss. Doug was a very special guy and a huge part of my early life. Working with him for a couple of summers taught me many great lessons about the working world and quite a bit about myself.  I wasn't a model employee but he gave me every opportunity to get better. Still working on it.
I also remember him volunteering to do some work on my first car out in Wendover. His help not only kept me on the road, but his expertise taught me how to fix a car myself.  More importantly, he taught me how to help others without question if I had the ability.
Watching your family unit stick together through thick and thin is the result of a great foundation. The greatest gift you and Doug shared with your kids Anne was that effortless commitment to each other. The love and respect that you displayed so effortlessly for all to see and appreciate was the most wonderful thing you could give to your kids and grandchildren. Doug's passing must be incredibly hard for all of you. But we're all better people because we had him in our lives.  Love to you all.

God be with you Anne/wife, with love, while yourself and daughters Angela/family, Jennifer/family, Kimberley/family, and all relatives, take time to heal from the 'great loss' of husband and father, family man. Doug always had a great smile, ready to help when needed. He was great at his Trade, working too hard some times, but "I have to finish ... " whatever he was building or renovating.  xo
 As elder sister to Douglas (My Little Brother) as I called him, I remember when he came in the door with our parents, this wee baby boy warm in blankets. Then later in life as a young lad driving with our parents across Canada to Moose Jaw, Sask to meet my/our own wee baby Carey Cassidy/D'Avignon. Another precious time, yet remembering so many more throughout life, some funny ones too. A great Birthday/Christmas with Doug and Anne at my home, with myself and Carey 2023/2024.  Wish I had moved back home to Ontario much sooner.  Miss you always Bro; God Bless your beautiful, loving soul. Peaceful now in God's arms.
