Earl Alexander Lalonde

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Earl Lalonde at the Cornwall Community Hospital, with his niece Anita by his side, on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the age of 88 years.

Beloved husband of the late Isabelle (née Taillon).

Chosen grandpa of Kevin and great grandpa to Kevin Jr. Dear brother of Elaine (late John), Florence (Wayne) and Adele. Cherished brother-in-law of Muriel Flaro (Earl’s best friend Wayne) and Joe Taillon (Nancy). Sadly, missed and fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Predeceased by his parents John and Bernadette, his brothers Roger (Shirley), Lawrence (Jean) and Louis as well as his sisters Colleen (late Brian), Alexina (late Rene), Pearl (late Earl), Georgina (late Rheal), Geraldine (late Paul), Anita (late Morley), Eva (late Roy) and Pauline (Jimmy). Earl is also predeceased by his brothers-in-law Albert Taillon, John Taillon, Charlie Taillon and George Taillon as well as his sisters-in-law May Piquette (George), Mary Leblanc (late Leon), Margie Antione (late Jack), Rosie Taillon, Theresa McFadden (late Llyod) and Diane Taillon (Donnie).

In keeping with Earl’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at Notre Dame Cemetery, 17945 South Branch Road, Cornwall, ON, on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 2:00pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan -West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West, Cornwall, ON (613-932-8482).
