I'm so sorry to hear this news. Gary and I were best buddies at Central Park School in the 50s. He's sitting beside me in our grade 4 picture. We used to go to his house on 5th Avenue (I think) to go through his mother's magazines looking for pictures of late model cars, though I don't remember if we just looked, or tore them out. He and I went to the Show Mart on Berri Street a couple of times to take in the General Motors Motorama. We went different ways in high school and lost touch after that, but it's really sad to find out that he was living just an hour away from us here in Ottawa. Please accept my condolences.

My heartfelt sympathies to Gail, Trish, and Grant. The love and sense of fun between Gail and Gary was quite obvious to me as a young adult many years ago and Gary was the epitome of "a good guy". May you find comfort in each other.
