Mr. Maybee was a person wholeheartedly devoted to living a life that was exemplary of a discipile of Christ. His love, care, patience, and incredible consistency in serving others, both in church and in daily interactions, had made him a shining example of someone seeking to be more like Jesus.
I remember how about 10 years ago, on one of his visits, he brought a large wood splitter over to our place and spent an entire day helping us prepare, split, and stack firewood for the winter. I have many, many fond memories that will live on as a legacy of the true friend that Mr. Mabee was to all of us.
I rest in the assurance that I will meet him again on Heaven's golden shore!

Mr. Mabee was one of our kindest and dearest friends. He always had a smile for us when we walked into church. He was always interested in what our children were doing, and thoroughly enjoyed his role of surrogate grandfather to them. He will be sorely missed, but we will see him again when it's our turn to cross over to the other side.

Bon voyage, brother George! We will meet again.
