

Peacefully, at the Cornwall Community Hospital (JMP), April 14, 2016. Harry Joseph Ainslie of Cornwall; in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Nelly (Demarque) Ainslie. Loving father of Ann (Vincent) Lukenda, Thérèse Beliveau (Chris Nicolaou) and the late Mark (Pauline Physk) Ainslie. Also greatly missed by Peter Physk and Pierre Lavoie. Cherished grandfather of Geneviève (Tor) Lukenda-Lund, Alexandre (Aimee) Lukenda, Karine Lukenda, Mélanie (JC) Tessier, Deanna (Mathieu) Longpré, Isabelle Ainslie, Alain (Kerri) Lavoie, Paul (Tara) Lavoie, and Pascale Lavoie (Shawn Theriault). Great grandfather to Milena and Isabelle Lund, Tyson Lukenda, Olivia Tessier, Gabrielle and Zachary Longpré, Elyse and Maxim Lavoie, Bryce and Charlotte Lavoie, Hailey, Keiden and Landyn Theriault. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth (Nicholls) Ainslie, sister, May Simmons and brother, Steve Ainslie.
Many people were touched by his warmth and humour. His life experiences spanned industry, education and travel. Upon retirement he spent many hours at the RCAF Wing enjoying life and friendships. He will be greatly missed by many...forever in our hearts.
Resting at the Lahaie and Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday April 18. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Parish, 2900 Second Street East. Interment at the St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery. The family will be in attendance from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday evening and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral.
