Hubert Augustus Lalonde

Lalonde, Hubert Augustus – Peacefully at the Heartwood Long Term Care Facility on Sunday, May 4, 2014. Hubert Lalonde of Cornwall; age 88 years. Family meant the world to him. He was a loving and doting husband of the late Fabiola Doria (Proulx) Lalonde. He provided lifelong support to his children Philippe (Elaine), Michel (Diane) of Cornwall, Pierre (Lise) of Embrun and Roseanne of Ottawa. Treasured grandfather of Derick (Kerry Scott), Nicole (Jeremy Poitras), Natalie (Christian Buhler), Mathieu (Nicole Mulligan), Lauren and Bradley, and great-grandfather of William and Jessey Buhler and Noah Poitras. He leaves one sister Janet Leblanc of Toronto. Dear son of the late George Lalonde and late Hattie (Lavigne) Lalonde. Predeceased by his 4 brothers Ambrose, Chester, Victor and Clifford and his 7 sisters Elsie, Patricia, Helen, Viola, Sophia, Edna and Florence. He will sadly be missed by many nieces and nephews. He proudly served during WW11 with the 4th Division Algonquin. Resting at LAHAIE & SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613.932.8482) from 2 pm Thursday. Funeral Friday, May 9, 2014 for Mass of Christian Burial in St-Francis de Salles Church at 1 pm. Interment Notre-Dame Cemetery. The family will be in attendance from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Thursday and from 11:30 am until time of Funeral on Friday As expression of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
