It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of John Leo Crosby at his campsite at Cameron’s Point Family Campground surrounded by family on Thursday August 14, 2025, at the age of 72 years.
Beloved husband and best friend of 40 years to Carolyn McDowall. Loving father of: Liz Crosby and Shawn Crosby (Jessica). Proud grandfather of Shiloh and Mattea.
He will be dearly missed by his critters.
John is predeceased by his parents John Crosby and Margueritte Beliel.
John will be remembered for his 18 years of service in the Royal Montreal Regiment; where he proudly served in the Reserves retiring with his title of Company Sergeant Major.
In keeping with John’s wishes cremation has taken place.
Family will be in attendance at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN WEST BRANCH 20 SEVENTH STREET WEST, CORNWALL on Tuesday August 26, 2025, between the hours of 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Wednesday August 27, 2025, at St. Columban’s Catholic Church 36 Fourth Street W, Cornwall, ON.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
