Juliette Marie Lucienne (Tougas) Léger

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Juliette Marie Lucienne Léger (née Tougas) at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre in Cornwall on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the age of 92.

Juliette was the beloved wife of the late Gabriel Léger and a devoted mother to Denis Léger (Sylvie), Linda McKee (late Bruce), and Michel Léger (Josée Brizard). She was predeceased by her son Denis.

She will be lovingly remembered by her cherished grandchildren, Nicole (Steve), Chantale (Cory), Rachelle (Fabian), Christian (Audrey), Megan, Jennifer (Adam), Nolan, and Hayden (Bailey), and by her step-grandchildren, Alex and David. Juliette was also a proud and devoted great-grandmother to Xavier, Claire, Evelyn, Caleb, Abigail, Eloïse, Riley, and Thomas, each of whom brought her immense joy.

She leaves behind her dear sisters, Lucille Dupuis (Philippe) and Suzanne Poirier (Rémi).

Juliette was predeceased by her parents, Bruno Tougas and Eva Tougas (née Allaire), as well as her siblings Roger Tougas, Wilfred Tougas (Carmen) and Rita Bergevin (late Roger).

Juliette will be remembered for her quiet strength, kindness, devotion to her family, and the love she shared throughout her long and meaningful life. Her warm presence, gentle spirit, and unwavering care for those she loved will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Paroisse Sainte-Thérèse-de-Lisieux, 1304 Lisieux Street, Cornwall, Ontario, on Wednesday June 10, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. A reception in the parish hall will follow the service.
