OBITUARY

Kimberley Mitchell

31 October, 1965 – 4 June, 2026
IN THE CARE OF

Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home - West Branch

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Kimberley “Kim” Mitchell (née Brunet) at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the age of 60.

Beloved wife and best friend of David Mitchell. Cherished mother of Drew Mitchell, Shane Mitchell (Julie), and Tara White (Jason). Loving grandmother of Jacob, Alyssa, Alexis, Charlotte, Olivier, and Maizie. Treasured sister of Pete (late Darlene), Mike (Irene), Mark (Lise), Timmy (Shelley), Jeff (Sandra), Shannon (John), Donna (Bill), Debbie (Ted), and Tammy (John); and sister-in-law of Kevin (Kelly) and the late Danny.

Dear friend to Bruce, Kim, Jen, and Mike.

Kim was predeceased by her parents, Roger and May (née Sauve) Brunet.

Kim was the person everyone could count on, the glue that kept her big family together. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome. Her laughter filled a room, her kindness touched countless lives, and her love for her family knew no limits. Her grandchildren were her world. She cherished every moment spent with them and wore the title of “Nanny” with great honour and pride.

Though we are in disbelief and our hearts are broken, we will carry her memory with us every day—in every family gathering, every shared story, and every moment that reminds us of her love and strength. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

We find peace knowing she now rests in the arms of God, and we eagerly await the day we see her beautiful face again.

Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN, 20 Seventh Street W., Cornwall, ON (613-932-8482).

Memorial donations to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
