It was an honor to have known such a humble man. Leo was such a kindhearted person who touched the lives of so many people and was the kind of person whom you liked the first time you met him. He was quiet at first, but once you got to know him, he became talkative and unstoppable. I could tell that family meant everything to Leo because of the things he talked about always included family members every time I saw him. Akwesasne will surely miss one of our finest elders.
