Aunt Mabel you were a joy to get to know these past few months. I am so glad my sisters (Judy and Darlene) and I were there to help be with you in your final days. You made us laugh at the hospital when we visited you and gave me a talking to when I couldn't hear you tell me the radio station we were listening to. I have worn my hearing aids ever since. For that my sisters thank you as now they do not have to repeat themselves. The staff at St. Joseph's Villa all enjoyed having you as a resident and said you will be missed. Many came by to see you in your last few days and told us how much they liked you. Take care and give my mom and dad a big hug for us.

Mabel, you were my Best Friend, i enjoyed your stories, and talking with me when i would go and see you, just about every day...I know you liked my company because you would always ask me when I was coming next...especially when i took you shopping at Pennington's, you were having difficulty trying certain things, and i would help you get fitted, we would both agree and say no! I enjoyed shopping with you, even though sometimes we would go for nothing, but we had the laughs of trying the clothes on. and being young girls again...and then I would here u say time to go back to St. Joseph Villa...I would make many reservations to take you shopping, between Walmart, Pennington's and Sears....When we couldn't find the right stuff, u had me looking in the states at the shoe dept store when i bought you 12 pairs of running shoes , hoping that one pair would fit you, and you started laughing and saying to me, why so many, I would say MABEL YOU ARE A SPECIAL PERSON, i wanted to make sure you were happy and seeing all the new colors...Mabel u wereso much of a special friend, to me...you will always be in my heart forever, Diane!!!!!!!!!!
