Nancy will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” McAteer; her daughter, Tracey McAteer-Bruder (Mike); and her cherished grandchildren, Otto and Isla Bruder, who brought immense joy and love to her life.
She will also be lovingly remembered by her sister, Christine Racine; sister, Brenda Walton (Jack); brother-in-law, Richard McAteer (Joan); and her many beloved nieces and nephews.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Christopher and Mary Walton, and her brothers, Larry Walton (Geppy) and Ted Walton.
Nancy will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, zest for life and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the many lives she touched.
At Nancy’s request, there will be no public visitation. A private family service will be held at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery in Cornwall, Ontario.
Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society in support of lung cancer research or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
