Pierre Antoine Lefebvre

22 January, 195716 September, 2020

Pierre Lefebvre passed away on Wednesday September 16th, 2020, after a tragic accident while in Algonquin Park with his beloved cousins. He was 63 years old.

Pierre was born on January 22, 1957 in Cornwall Ontario, to father Rodolphe Lefebvre and mother Desanges Lefebvre (née Lavictoire). He attended St. Lawrence College where he obtained his diploma in human services and discovered his passion for helping others, something he carried forward throughout his life.

As a strong advocate, he dedicated himself to supporting individuals with disabilities and helping improve people’s quality of life. He was always putting others before himself and bringing out the best in others through his laugh and crazy sense of humour.

Pierre was always up for an adventure, whether is was riding his motorcycle cross country, or riding rollercoasters with his grandchildren, there was nothing he wouldn’t do. He treasured his trips to Algonquin Park with his cousins who he considered brothers; hiking, canoeing and taking in the outdoors. Pierre would talk about it for days leading up and after, he lived for it.

Constantly losing and misplacing everything he owned, Pierre would often have 5 of everything simply because he could not find things. If he came to visit you, you could guarantee he left a little piece of himself behind, a hat, pair of glasses, piece of clothing, it was always a surprise.

Pierre was a kind and generous man who’s family was the most important thing to him, and he will be deeply missed by all of us. He is survived by his mother Desanges Seguin; children Kristen Lefebvre, Jason Lefebvre and Melissa Samuel (Jesse Samuel); grandchildren Zachary Fera, Emily Samuel and Kylin Lefebvre; and sisters Ginette Ryan (Michel Lauzon), Nicole Tyo (Roy Tyo) and Joanne Marcotte (Norman Marcotte). He was predeceased by his father Rodolphe Lefebvre, step father Raymond Seguin and brother in law Tom Ryan.

Under the care and direction of Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes - due to COVID restrictions, a Private Celebration of Life will be held. Further arrangements will be made in Calgary Alberta at a later date.

At the time of Pierre’s passing, he was working at Community Living Stormont County. As a result we are asking to please send memorial donations to their foundation.

To Kristen and Eric, we want to let you know how sorry for the lost of your father Kristen as we know how important a parent is for his children. We send you our deepest condolences to you and your family hoping that time will help you get through this sad time in your life.
Make sure we are thinking of you and wished we could made it to Cornwall but we understand with the covid-19 still in full force it's best to restrain the amount of people that can attend to the service.
We are sending you all our love.

I had worked with Pierre at Cosmos Group of Companies in Red Deer Alberta for a couple years. He was my Manager and still to this very day the best and funniest Manager I've ever had with such a caring heart. We had stayed in touch the last 5 years, 1 due to him being one of my references and 2 just him being a genuinely great person who always made you laugh at his crazy antics. He truly lived life by the day and enjoyed every minute of it. Our common grounds was we were both from Ontario, both frenchies and both enjoyed those delightful Fromagerie St-Alberts cheese curds lol. RIP Pierre you will be greatly missed!

I once worked for Pierre at Open Hands and then he came to work for us at Community Living. We have made many fun memories over the years. The Thursday before his trip, he was sitting in my office, telling me all about his upcoming trip with his cousins and how excited he was. Over the last year he has shared many pictures of his children and grandchildren as well.
My condolences to the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during the difficult time.
