Robert Gerard Belanger

BELANGER, Robert Gerard “Bob” - Peacefully, with his family by his side at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Saturday August 10, 2024 at the age of 86 years. Bob was the General Manager of Pepsi-Cola for 32 years, after retirement he became the proud co-owner and co-founder of Yvette’s Cotton Candy. He was a 4th degree Grand Knight and life time member of the Knights of Columbus Council #755. He served the community for over 50 years as past president and life time member of the Cornwall Lions Club. Beloved husband of the late Yvette (née Fontaine) Belanger. Loving father of Tammy Garner (Adrian) of Cornwall, Anne Belanger of Summerstown. Predeceased by his son Richard. Proud pépère of Denis (Karina), Adele Perry (Shane), Michaela (Jason Campbell), Nicholas (Karine Morin), Amber (Jordan Leger), Emily Roy (Phillippe) and Andrew (Brianne Veillette) and great grandfather of Madison, Olivia, Jordan, Joshua, Lexi, Macyn, Reece, Blake, Miah and Elliott. Dear son of the late Gerard Belanger and the late Reta (née Pyke) Marquette. Predeceased by his brother Donald Belanger. Bob will be lovingly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Resting at Lahaie and Sullivan Funeral Home, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West in Cornwall (613-932-8482) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday August 14th and on Thursday August 15th from 11 a.m. until the time of Funeral. Funeral Service for Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday August 15, 2024 in Ste. Thérèse de Lisieux Church at 1 p.m. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery to follow.
