Bob was the devoted husband of 57 years to Germaine (née Delorme), the proud and loving father of Rob (Jenn) and adoring Pepère to Nolan, who brought him endless joy and pride.
Born to the late Leonard and the late Pauline (née Bellemore), he is survived by his siblings Bernice (Scotty), Marcel (Lise), Richard (Darlene), Carmen (late Ron), Gilles and Helen (Rick). He was also a much-loved uncle to his nieces and nephews as well as their children, who held a special place in his heart.
A hard-working man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures, he had a passion for all things cars and was a master of autobody repair. He loved working in his garage, sharing his love and knowledge of cars with others, cycling, going out for breakfast and watching his favourite goalie play hockey.
His quiet strength, gentle guidance and sense of humour will be profoundly missed, and he will forever be remembered by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes – West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
