He reunites with his late wife Melanie Ann (née Daye) Short.
Cherished and loved father of Kara Filion and proud grandfather of Cameron and Grant and father of Chris (Anita) Short.
He will be missed by his son-in-law Chris Filion, his sister-in-law Beth Short, along with his extended family members and friends.
Del was a man that loved to garden and enjoyed the great outdoors. He spent many memorable moments at the Hunt Camp with the boys. Often you could catch him cycling throughout the neighbourhood enjoying his neighbours and community.
He had retired from his career with NCR, where he worked as a technician, where he enjoyed spending time with his colleagues and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Burnis and Velma (née Stewart) Short and his brother Mernie Short.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
