Verna Joan (Waye) Goode

Joan passed away peacefully in Greely, Ontario. As her health began to fail, she was welcomed into the home of her daughter Pam and son-in-law Mike, where she was lovingly cared for and surrounded by family. During her final years, she was truly spoiled with love, comfort, and companionship, bringing her family precious time together and many cherished memories.

Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, Fred Goode, in 2023. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Pam (Mike), Tina, and Joanie, and by her cherished grandchildren, Joe, Robbie, and David who will miss her dearly.

Known for her strong personality, determination, and independent spirit, Joan left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She faced life’s challenges with strength and conviction and was deeply devoted to her family.

The family takes comfort in knowing that Joan spent her final years surrounded by love and care. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home West Branch 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482). A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday June 30, 2026 at St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, Long Sault at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
