Veronica Stella Amyotte

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Veronica Amyotte (née Lalonde) known as “Vern” on Tuesday January 6th, 2026, at the age of 96 at the Chartwell McConnell Manor in Cornwall. Born and raised in Cornwall.

Beloved wife of 73 years to the late Aurelle Amyotte. Loving mother of: David (Murielle), Mavis Roy (Donald), Richard (Francine), and Sandra Turcotte (Marc). Cherished grandmother of: Steve (late), Chantal, Amy (Jason), Melvin (Julie), Robbie (Parise), Shawn (Jenn), Tracy Amyotte, Patrick (Alanna), and Christine (Curtis); and great grandmother of: Brandon, Madison, Kaige, Konnor, Caedan, Haydee, Payton, Jesse, Joey, Aiden, Tamira, Owen, Kaleb, Jorja, MacKenzie, Leah, Brayah, Camden, Olivia, Jack and Willow. Treasured sister of Claude and Claudette.

Veronica is predeceased by her parents, Rene and Clorinda (née Tremblay) Lalonde; as well as her siblings: Percy, Edmond, Norman, Irene, Shirley, Pauline, and Leona.

In keeping with her wishes, arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie and Sullivan West Branch (613-932-8482).

Visitation will be held on Friday January 23, 2026, at Lahaie and Sullivan West, 20 Seventh Street W, Cornwall between the hours of 10:00AM to 1:30PM.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday January 23, 2026, at 2:00PM at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 321 Tollgate Rd E, Cornwall, ON.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or to Carefor Hospice Cornwall would be greatly appreciated.
