Yvette Samson

Beloved wife of the late Alcide Samson. Loving mother of Julie Provost (née Samson) and Luc Samson (Lori). Cherished grandmother of Lauren Provost (Kyle Masterman), Brad Provost, Corey Samson (Sarah D’Alessio) and Joey Samson; and great-grandmother to Ella and Harper Masterman. Treasured godmother to Lucie Brisson (Richard).

Yvette is survived by her brothers Claude St-Denis (Diane) and Jean-Paul “JP” St-Denis (Viviane). Predeceased by her parents Phillipe and Jeanne (née Lafleche) St-Denis; as well as her brothers Rhéal St-Denis (Thérèse), Raymond St-Denis and his wife and Yvette’s best friend Doris St-Denis.

Yvette will always be fondly remembered and forever missed by so many and was also a friendly face at Gosselin’s Super Market having been a cashier there for many years.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre for the exceptional care they provided to their mother, as well as to Valley Garden Retirement Centre.

In keeping with Yvette’s wishes cremation has taken place.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME WEST BRANCH, 20 SEVENTH STREET WEST, CORNWALL on Tuesday June 17, 2025, at 11:00AM.

Interment will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Cornwall and District with specifics for Dementia or to St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre would be appreciated by the family.
