child, Karen Elizabeth Vota, into their lives. Later they moved to Venezuela, where
their second child was born, Joseph Edward Vota IV. They raised their children in Bolivia for a
few years then returned to the United States.
As a young woman, she was a loving and nurturing mother and wife to her young family.
Her children remember her as a devoted, loving and caring mother who encouraged
them to pursue their dreams and goals. Adele was passionate about living a healthy lifestyle
and sharing her knowledge and wisdom about health and longevity with everyone she knew.
Upon moving to the United States, she also studied interior design in college and later
designed model homes for builders. She and her second husband opened an upscale designer
furniture store featuring modern, contemporary and transitional furnishings from around the
world to a discriminating clientele in the bedroom communities of Washington, D.C. for over
forty years.
