Barbara E. Nobis

Barbara Nobis, 87 died peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2022 in Victorville, CA. Born Barbara Ella Klein on March 17, 1935 in Detroit MI, she is predeceased by her parents, Olga and Walter Klein of Detroit, her brothers Arthur and Robert Klein of Detroit, and her late husband, Frederick (Fred) Nobis of Detroit MI.

Barbara graduated from Chadsey High School in Detroit MI in January, 1953. After high school, she held various jobs working at Warner Brother Pictures Distribution in Detroit.

She married Fred Nobis on June 20, 1959, dedicating her life to become a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved to ballroom dance. She enjoyed cooking and music, having owned a large collection of cookbooks and records. She loved watching movies, especially musicals. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved to travel, having travelled around the world twice on a cruise ship with her late husband Fred.

Survivors include her two children, Karen Beaty of Bakersfield, CA; Chuck Nobis of Cave Creek, AZ, her grandchildren, Erika (Nobis) Strawbridge of Hesperia, CA, Amanda Beaty of Vancouver, WA, Stephen and Daniel Beaty of Bakersfield, CA, and her three great-grandchildren, Kaydence and Kinsley Strawbridge and Stella Beaty.

Private services and burial were held at Pacific View Mortuary, 3500 Pacific View Dr. Corona Del Mar, 92625.
