On this day we take some time to remember the tragedy of losing you, of having to say goodbye, the day our lives changed forever.  

Though we know the goodbye is not forever, that we will see you again, the pain of not being able to hold you, kiss your sweet face, of taking road trips together and watching you experience life in all the special places we would travel together to… the pain of not having those things anymore is paralyzing and catastrophic.  

There is, at the same time, the hope and comfort that you still are with us, in our hearts, as we go through life… and that we will see you again when it is our time to go.
