Mom,  I think of you every day and miss you with all of my heart.  
Dad, my love and heart goes out to you as you try to forge a new life without  the woman you have known since you were both kids.

To the Dempsey Family:  I was deeply saddened to hear of Dona's loss.  I remember meeting her and Leo on our many trips to the bay in Newport and all of our many visits.  She will be deeply missed.

Im so happy to see the pictures of your family Ive heard so much about.They look like a great family. Which is what you deserved. We met in High School and although only kept in touch occasionally I always cherished our friendship. Wherever you are Dona may god Bless you.

I met Dona when I first arrived to Calvary Chapel eight years ago. Dona seemed to know every time I was missing a Sunday. She always made me feel beautiful and always made sure she greeted me with the warmest and most radiant smile. Whenever I saw her sitting beside her husband when I walked in, I always commented if Leo had put her on time-out. Now she is walking around Heaven and getting to know every saint there. Gigi, you will missed terribly! I'm not sure I knew your name for the longest time, the kids all said that's my Gigi.  I remember so many babies you nourished and loved when others could not. Our Lord is making full use of your love for others and your spunk in you new roll. I pray for your beloved husband and your extended family.  May they know you will always be part of them in their daily lives.

Dona you will truly be missed!  I have had the pleasure of knowing you for many years and the most precious memory is your radiant smile!  The angels in heaven must be rejoicing, now that you have joined them.  We will be praying for all of your loved ones to lesson their pain and to help them remember all of the wonderful things that you did throughout your life.

She was a true embodiment of the word Mother. She was a mother to my mother, Christine, and to my aunt Joylynn and uncle Mike, a Grandmother to 9, and Great Grandmother to many more. She was an open door to countless children in her role as a foster mother, and undoubtedly changed so many lives with her patient nurturing and calming embrace. Even though I was one of many, she never forgot my birthday. She was an inspiration with her warmth, grace, and compassion. She was, and will continue to be, so very loved.

There are truely no words that are adequate to describe my Aunt. She wasn't just the epitomy of what "Christian" means, she was more. She was the only one able to get my Mother back into church & to become the Mother she always wanted to be. When our homelife was bleak, she brought hope & sunshine. She was a comfort without having to say a word. She was beloved by all who knew her & especially by me. Just by being herself, she taught me how to be a good, loving & giving Mother. To my Uncle Sonny, Christine; Michael & Joylyn, my Prayers are with you & all the "babies", her oh so beloved grandchildren. You were all her life & reason for living. I am so blessed to have known Dona!  She was a mentor and a friend in more ways than I can count.  I will continue to pray for comfort for all the family as her passing is a huge loss!!!  But Heaven is receiving one very special lady!
