Don was born in Hendley, Nebraska on January 18, 1923. He moved to Hollywood in 1940 and shortly there after joined the US Navy. He served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. Upon returning home he married his sweetheart , Dona in 1947. At the same time he started working for the Los Angeles Police Department for 31 years. His wife Dona passed in 1985. Don passed away on March 14, 2016 in Whittier , Ca. He leaves behind 2 children and two grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 19th at 2 pm. at Pacific View Cemetery, 3500 Pacific View Dr, Corona del Mar, Ca.
