Dear Silverstein Family--I'm so sorry for your loss.  

Fred was an incredible person in every way.  A complete gentleman--a real Jimmy Stewart kind of guy.  It was an honor to have known him.  He was a "Dad" to so many of us.  

I don't have words to adequately express my love for Fred and the family.  

Double gold star for you, Fred--to a life well served.  Rest easy, my friend.
I'll never forget you.

 

I first met and got to know Fred in November 1997 on a business trip to California Faucets in Huntington Beach CA. That was the beginning of a very deep and meaningful relationship both professionally and personally.  I was the National Sales and Marketing Manager of a company selling products to his company. I spent a lot of time with Fred and his son Jeff growing and nurturing the business and personal relationships, which later developed into me becoming the COO at California Faucets in Dec 2000.

During my 13 -1/2 years there, Fred was not only a father to all his direct family, but also to all of his employees. Fred would from time to time speak to all the employees on important issues or at company events and would let everyone know they are all part of his extended family. Truly a  "Mensch" with a heart so full of compassion and love for the people whose lives he touched. Fred was also a great mentor to me and many others throughout the time I knew him.

I am truly honored and privileged  to have known, worked with and spent so many meaningful times with Fred, his wife Sonia and all the Silverstein Family. I have so many memories of those times that I can replay them in my mind and relive them as if they were just yesterday.

As such sad times when one loses a loved one, I don't like to think of it as "Goodbye" but rather as they say in Europe "Aufwiedersehen" or "Au Revoir" which translated into English means "Until We Meet Again"

Fred, may your soul be granted a resting place and eternal peace in Heaven.
