

Georgia was born on October 8, 1946, in Los Angeles, California, at Methodist Hospital, to Jack Charles Compton and Mabelle Evangeline Dodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Charles Compton and Mabelle Evangeline Dodge, and by her brother, Marshall Compton, an attorney who passed away in 1991.
She is survived by her three children, Dennis Marshall Compton, Lance Marshall Compton, and Georgette Yvonne Mak (Tamyo), as well as her brother, Lloyd Scott Compton.
Georgia worked hard to provide for and raise her children as a single mother, showing the same strength, resilience, and determination that would define her throughout her life.
Georgia worked for many years in medical records at Humana Hospital, where she was known for her dedication and caring nature. Outside of work, she had a lifelong passion for photography and found great joy in capturing special moments through her camera lens.
She especially adored her dogs and combined her love of photography and animals by taking countless creative and joyful photographs of them dressed in costumes and outfits that
reflected her playful spirit, humor, and creativity.
Georgia faced cancer with remarkable dignity, courage, and grace — qualities that defined the way she lived her life each day. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, artistic spirit, and the love she gave to her family and beloved pets.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held on June 29 at 10:00 AM at Pacific View Memorial Park & Mortuary, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, California 92625.
