Gloria was born on November 17, 1951 in Santa Monica, California. She grew up in the Venice, California area and attended Venice High School. Gloria met her first husband John Maldonado at Venice High, and her first born son Jerry came soon after. After graduating, Gloria moved to Westminster, California, and in 1972 she began working at the Employee Store with the aerospace conglomerate McDonnell-Douglas. It was through McDonnell-Douglas that Gloria met her second and current husband Dale. Gloria and Dale moved to Garden Grove, California and soon had sons William and Daniel. It is there that Gloria and Dale have lived since, recently celebrating their 39th wedding anniversary together. Gloria retired from Boeing in 2017 after 45 years with the company.
Gloria was a selfless, caring, loving, and joyful wife and mother. Many refer to the spark of life she brought in every gathering and celebration she took part in. Early in her childhood, Gloria stood apart from others and her talents were recognized by many. In 1962, Gloria proudly accepted the title as Miss Candy Cane of Venice, California, where she even appeared on the Sheriff John television show. Gloria was a member of the Pickups Limited Club of Orange County, California, and loved attending various classic car shows and events. In her free time, Gloria loved traveling with friends and family, visiting Lake Nacimiento with her children and grandchildren, and solving every crossword puzzle she could find. Gloria was a proud Native American, a descendant of the Tongva (Gabrielino) tribe rooted in the Los Angeles, California area and enjoyed attending pow-wows and gatherings alike. She was so proud of her three sons, and extremely fond of all of her grandchildren whom she loved so dearly.
Gloria is survived by her husband Dale, son Jerry Gilbert Maldonado and grandchildren Gabrielle, Jerry Jr., Christian, and Arianna; son William Alan Beverley, daughter-in-law Ashley and grandchildren Avery and Forrest; son Daniel Adam Beverley, daughter in-law Stephanie and grandchild Holly.
