Uncle Jack was a loving and sweet man. We all enjoyed seeing him during the Christmas holiday for a family get together may he RIP

I loved Jack Light. 

He hired me at RBF in 1972 just back from Vietnam. Gave me a chance with no college or previous civil engineering experience. 
Oh and with shoulder length hair. Jack said cut your hair and you got a job. Stayed 37 years. 
At my 1st RBF  X-mas party (3 months later) I showed up with shoulder length hair. 
I had bought a short hair wig and wore it for 3 months without anybody noticing.  Needless to say Jack was flabbergasted when I showed up. 
He just laughed it off. Said he wouldn't fire me.  Whew...
I cut my hair the very next day in respect of Jack. He was the man.

My thoughts of sympathy go out to the members and friends of the Light family.
My career began in January 1974, when I was hired by Jack.
I recall the interview as if it were yesterday.
I worked closely with Jack until his retirement and continued to work for RBF, now known as Michael Baker International, until my retirement in 2017.
He referred to himself as the " Benevolent Dictator" and had a number of very close friends he kept in touch with.
I feel fortunate to have been a member of one of his friends.
He was a meticulous dresser as well as giving great care to his possessions-his home, his current automobile, his motorhome...but especially he was proud of his family.
He would openly share his love of his children and grandchildren and how  each has blossomed as each has grown.
He was straight forward in sharing his thoughts and pulled no punches but he seemed to prefer his privacy.
I will miss him.
