On January 24, 1977, one year later, she would become a Mom to her daughter Dina. She would often
say they were so close because they grew up together. They were best friends and partners in business
which, they enjoyed working with each other very much.
Jane worked hard to put herself through college and graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, with a minor in Business, all while being a single Mother. She accepted multiple Corporate Controller positions throughout her career prior to branching out and starting her own businesses.
Jane was featured in magazines – Fortune Small Business, Real Woman, Inc., Woman’s Day, and Entrepreneur, Inc. At the time of her passing she was Managing Partner of ADOC, Inc. while continuing her partnership with her husband, in their nationwide pack and ship franchise. Jane loved her work, it was her happy place. Not only was she exceptional at her trade, she enjoyed the many business partnerships she developed through the years. Most she would call friends, not clients.
On February 14, 1992, Jane married the love of her life, Michael Lockett, one year after they met and
went on to have a beautiful love affair for 30 years. They loved locking out the world occasionally and
spending one on one time together, watching movies in bed all weekend long. They also enjoyed
traveling, riding on Mike’s Harley, and becoming grandparents.
Jane held many titles – Entrepreneur, Wife, Mother, grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Friend, and
she would say, most importantly, Follower of Christ. When she was not working, she loved spending
time with her family, her dog Zo, and volunteering at the Church office on Sunday mornings. She took
pride in leading her family in faith and continued to be their rock and support to the very end. Jane
possessed a quick wit, had an infectious laugh and smile that would light up a room. Jane was a safe
place for many – she made sure your glass was always full and your troubles eased by her wisdom and
love. She always said, “Work hard, play harder!” She will forever be missed.
Jane went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2021 at 1:30pm. She is survived by her husband Michael,
daughter Dina, grandson Stephen, Mother Victoria, Father Weldon, Sister Lisa, Brothers, Matthew,
Mark, and Drew, Aunt Edna, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
