A committed educator, a true intellect, a gifted writer, a staunch patriot and a steadfast proponent of social justice, individual liberty and freedom of thought
Mohammad published many literary works and is known as the father of Persian Poetic Idioms (Zarbol Masalhaye Mansoom Farsi).
Mohammad was also a renowned expert on the giant Persian literary work, Shahnameh.

Two Sons: Nader Haghighat and Dariush Haghighat
A daughter in-law, Dr. Parvin Shafa whom he loved as his own daughter
Three Granddaughters: Nekisa, Kimia and Misha
One Grandson: Ariya Haghigaht
Two Brothers: Parviz Haghighat and Mohammad Haghighat
Two Sisters: Farideh and Zarin. His first sister, Mehrangiz passed away several years ago.
Several Nephews and Nieces.
Mohammad was truly loved, cherished and respected by all his family, friends, loved ones and all who knew him.
Mohammad closed his eyes in peace in the arms of his sons and surrounded by family and loved ones.
