.....I still quote Roy weekly, sometimes daily....  there are enough quotes and concepts from Roy to last forever ....

The So Cal Institute of Architecture memorial was a great success.  Many wonderful Roy stories.

My condolences to the Ray family. Roy will be sadly missed by all that knew him. The looss of a family member is very difficult to understand. May God give you strength and courage during this tragic time in your lives.

My deepest sympathies to the Ray family. It's so difficult understanding the loss of such a young guy taken in his prime.  May the love of family & friends help you through this grief stricken time in your lives.

I worked for Roy for a few years and we had some wonderful conversations together. I always looked forward to the history lessons he gave me on a daily basis. I haven't seen him in several years and am sad that I'll never have that opportunity again. I'll always appreciate his abstract way of thinking. Thank you Roy.

I met Roy in College in 1978 and was partners with him for 13 years.  He was a genius. His mind could formulate the most incredible ideas.  I miss him and will never forget what he taught me and so many great times we had together.

We have to say We've never meet a nicer man in our entire life !!!! 

Roy would always say two things 

1, Never Stand Down 
2,You could never see enough Sunsets 

Sail on Roy, you will be missed and We will always remember YOU when I see a sunset ,,,AGREED

My heart goes out to Roy's family. I always felt safe on 33rd street with him watching over it and our Bruin family will sorely miss him.

Our hearts are heavy as today we loose a brother.   We will always remember Roy's deep/hardy laugh, intelligent conversations, evidence based opinions, and love for history.  We were always in awe over the history details Roy knew.  There are several stories that will make you smile, but my favorite story is when Roy (the only single guy) and 5 other men (all husbands) were headed to the bait shop at the lake, and Roy was the only man who stopped, stood there and listen to 6 women give 6 different magazine names they wanted at the store.  The guys almost left without you, but you knew all 6 magazines to get!  You had all the ladies respect!  You always took the time to care! You will be sooo missed!   Love Al and Cindy
